You're always in control of your data. Here's exactly how to permanently delete your 1st Step account — with the app installed, or without it.
This is permanent. Deleting your account immediately and irreversibly removes your profile, learning progress, certificates, and community posts, comments, and messages. There's no recovery period — once confirmed, it's gone.
What gets deleted
Your account and sign-in credentials
Profile information — display name, language preference
A very small amount of data can outlive the request itself, for narrow, unavoidable reasons:
Infrastructure backups. Our database provider (Supabase) keeps routine, encrypted backups for disaster recovery. Deleted data is purged from these on their normal rotation schedule and is never restored or used for anything else.
Billing records. If you've ever held a paid subscription, the app stores (Google Play / Apple) and our billing processor (RevenueCat) may retain transaction records independently of your 1st Step account, as required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.
See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
1Open 1st Step and sign in.
2Go to Settings (menu icon on the Home screen).
3Scroll to Account → Delete account and confirm.
Deletion happens immediately — no waiting period, no email confirmation step required.
Option 2 — Request deletion from this page
Delete without opening the app
Enter the email address on your 1st Step account. We'll email you a one-time verification link — opening it confirms it's really you, and the next page lets you finish the deletion right in your browser.
The link expires in 1 hour and works once. Opening it doesn't delete anything by itself — you'll get one more explicit confirmation step first.
Option 3 — Email us directly
Prefer a person to handle it?
Email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
